Stanislav Grof
Psychospiritual Death and Rebirth: A Visionary Journey
(English, without translation)
Consciousness researcher, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist Stanislav Grof is one of the co-founders of Transpersonal Psychology, and he was president of the International Transpersonal Association (ITA) for many years. During his long-lasting work in the 1960s at the Psychiatric Research Institute in Prague he explored the effects of LSD for himself and with patients during thousands of therapeutic sessions. The findings and insights of this groundbreaking work lead him to design an expanded topography of the human consciousness. Stanislav Grof dedicated his life and work to the research of altered states of counsciousness. He received the “Vision 97“ award granted by the Foundation of Dagmar and Vaclav Havel in Prague on October 5, 2007, for his outstanding pioneering research.
In this slide-illustrated seminar, Stanislav Grof will explore the process of psychospiritual death and rebirth, using the paintings from depth psychological work with psychedelic substances and holotropic breathwork. The understanding of this process is essential for any serious approach to the ritual and spiritual history of humanity – shamanism, rites of passage, healing ceremonies of native cultures, ancient mysteries of death and rebirth, the great religions of the world, and the mystical traditions of all times and countries. The insights from this work throw new light on sociopolitical events, such as wars, revolutions, and genocide, but also on artistic and visionary creations from ancient times to the modern era.

Introduction into Alchemical Divination
(German, without translation)
Alchemical Divination is a method of structured inquiry into questions in a slightly heightened state of consciousness generated by yoga practices. We work in the spirit of the Roman deity Janus, guardian of gates and passages, whose two faces look into the past and into the future.
The purpose of these divinations is to help you obtain deeper experiential understanding, problem resolution and visionary inspiration for your future life path in its intrapsychic, interpersonal, professional, creative and spiritual dimensions. You will gain greater theoretical understanding of the psychology of transformation, as described in spiritual and esoteric traditions and in the mythologies of ancient cultures, as well as the perspectives of transpersonal psychology, depth psychology and ecological systems thinking.
For the exercises, please bring drawing material, paper and pencils.
Alex und Allyson Grey
Creative Practices: Vision into Art
(English, without translation)
The artist Alex Grey is best known for his depictions of the human body that "x-ray" the multiple layers of reality, revealing the complex integration of body, mind, soul and spirit. Grey‘s unique series of 21 lifesized paintings, the Sacred Mirrors, present the physical and subtle anatomy of an individual in the context of cosmic, biological and technological evolution. The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, CoSM, in New York City, includes an exhibition of fifty works by Grey. His artwork has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide and has appeared on album covers, on the cover of Newsweek, and on sheets of blotter acid. He lives in New York with his wife, the painter, Allyson Grey.
Visionary artists Alex and Allyson Grey teach painting and drawing from the wellspring of divine imagination, sometimes inspired by entheogens. In this workshop, artists at any level of experience draw and paint from the sacred ground and the mystic eye. The short presentation will introduce this process in an illustrated talk about art created from visions. In the four hour workshop, participants will engage in vision practices, drawing and group interaction to empower the process of bringing their heart‘s iconography to outer form. Using guided imagery, meditation, and shamanic ascent we enter the doors of the imagination to the theater of revelation. Participants are invited to bring basic materials such as drawing paper or journal, graphite, colored pencils, pastels, and watercolors. Bond paper and pencils will be available. Through the “vision practice“, guests will commit mental pictures to paper and discuss the aesthetic dimension of their mystical experiences.

Modern Meditation and Consciousness Training
(German, without translation)
To understand human processes, one does not need to engage with the thoughts, but much more with consciousness itself. Only when when we use the full capacity of our consciousness, we are loving and compassionate.
In our present time, our brain-consciousness is filled with stress, aggression, fears, desires, lust, and pressure to perform, which very often narrows our perception. But we can at any time relate with the outer, extensive consciousness, which is associated with us by the heart and by silence beyond time and space.
For making these states of consciousness accessible and able to experience, Manuel Schoch has developed Modern Meditation, an effective tool to experience timelessness. Where time ends the deep transformative energy from the source operates, from where all qualities of love are born. Modern mystic Manuel Schoch is convinced, that Consciousness, the quality and the vibes of love should not only occur during short-term moments of happiness or from externally induced states of consciousness, but implement during our every-day life, within a never-ending process of consciousness and love.
